Meeting Students Where They Are in the 21st Century
We are in an age where technology is transforming the way our children learn, communicate, and experience this world. We no longer are the gatekeepers of information, but the facilitators in guiding students through the tsunami of information that they now have access to. We need to teach children information literacy skills so that they can be successful in locating, evaluating, using, and presenting quality information. Whether your school has gone 1:1 or you're nowhere near that yet, it is important to jump right in and meet our students where they are with the resources you DO have.
How can you get started? Pick one tech tool and try it out with one of your lessons or units. Dive right in! Below are just a few of the great resources for teaching in the 21st Century that I am excited about.
